Little Farmer’s Cay, Exuma, Bahamas
Family-run Bahamian cooking down the Exuma chain. Terry and Ernestine Bain. Hail us on VHF 16.
Corene Alydice Moxey Bain named it Ocean Cabin back when that is all it was. Her son, Terry Bain, runs it now with his wife, Chef Ernestine Bain, whose Bahamian recipes came down through the family and have never left it.
The place has grown since. Travellers from near and far tie up, come in, relax, and eat the fabulous dishes of the island. We tend to go beyond the beyond for our dishes, and customer satisfaction is always a must for us. Hospitality with a smile, and an ice cold beer to wash it down with.

Those are the posted hours. This is the version we have always given:
Most days about 9 or 10
Occasionally as early as 7 but some days as late as 12 or 1
We close about 5 or 6
or maybe about 4 or 5
Some days or afternoons
We aren’t here at all
And lately we’ve been here about all the time
Except when we’re someplace else…
But we might be here then too.
The 5F Festival
